Love those. There were a lot of inside jokes there. The sniper thing was basically a joke about how often in both games you get a sniper that just can't aim at all. In fact, many TF2 servers limit how many people can be sniper at once so you don't end up with horribly unbalanced teams if one side has a bunch of very poor snipers.

A lot of the jokes are to do with how the players of certain characters are perceived. Like the engineer one is about how engineer is mostly reliant on his turrets and often gets many kills even after their death, and the whole intro animations and ‘play of the game’ is from overwatxh too!

These videos when I saw them for the first time made me laugh so much I had to show all my friends! It's so accurate too!

Torb crying out for his baby when his turret and his actual daughter get shot. Or when horror Mei comes along since she's supposed to be one of the kindest characters, but her gameplay is freezing people to death while making happy noices.
Also Sombra and Reaper used to have the loudest voice clips whenever they used their abilities, which for Sombra given that she's a character for stealth was not handy, but really funny.
Oh and yes both snipers missing every shot is a joke. Widow says "1 shot, 1 kill" but the community quickly turned that into "1000 shots, 1kill."
There's so many more in the first one alone! Honestly these videos are just amazing.

These are pretty meta.
While some of the jokes are about the character's canonical personalities and lore, there are a lot of both gameplay mechanic jokes and gameplay experiences jokes as well.
Such as how players behave in the starting room in each game and how in both games players who can't aim love playing snipers.
Or if you choose a hero that isn't "meta", or appropriate for the map / team composition, other players are likely to flame and pressure you to pick something more beneficial for the team. Thus the bitchslap and hero change on one of the skits.

Since you guys are now aware with The Winglet Channel I recommend you guys watch The Fedora Chronicles Trilogy Kinda, The very first episode "The Fedora Chronicles" has nothing to do with the overarching story that started in the second epsode (which is the start of the trilogy), A series The Winglet made (Which IMO is S-tier quality).

Here is the order you should watch

Note: The original version is good but The Winglet released the "Director's cut" version (Which is better than the original) and don't watch the "2022 Edit" version because of youtube they made a heavily censored version (IMO is not worth the watch), that's why you should watch the "Director's Cut" version. (It's age-restricted but it's still available).

As others have mentioned, there are a LOT of inside jokes for both TF2 and Overwatch in these animations. Some of these have already been mentioned, but here's a good highlight reel of the jokes:
Anyone playing a Sniper or Widowmaker (feels like) they're guaranteed to have terrible aim in spite of picking the most aim-intensive character in the game.
In the spawn before a match starts Overwatch players (hence their characters in the first video) will go around destroying the movable/breakable area because there's nothing better to do while you wait and physics are fun to play with.
Mei is basically the Pyro (read: psychopath) of Overwatch due to her (old) playstyle of freezing enemies in place and then planting an ice spike in their brain to secure the kill.
And the coup de grace, the attacking team being so focused on killing the enemies that they treat the round like team deathmatch and don't actually push the objective - in this case, the cart - and end up losing no matter how well they beat back their opponents.

I would like to say that this animation is about how it feels to play Overwatch vs TF2. Most of the jokes are based on their respective communities and are meshed together.

There is a lot of specific jokes about specific weapons, animations and other things that happen in game that I can image flying over your heads if you don’t play both games a lot. Like when heavys gun is super slow it’s because that specific gun he’s wielding is known for having a way to long deploy time before you can fire, the play of the game animation for demoman shooting a grenade into his crotch, that’s a highlight intro for junkrat when he gets play of the game in overwatch, but honesty I think it’s funnier on demo. Then there’s the spy crab meme and snipers jar of piss that’s an actual in game weapon and a a bunch of other stuff
