Hey doc! Just wanted to ask, here in dental school (here in asia) we were taught that orthodontic movement in teeth with open apices are detrimental to the tooth. Just wanted to know if that's actually the case. Cause based on what you said braces may be installed at the age of 11. And as we know some of the roots of the teeth at that time are still incomplete. Does braces actually affect that?
