New legal challenges emerge in response to Trump’s declaration of a National Emergency, to secure funding for his border wall. Washington Governor Jay Inslee joins Ari Melber, to break down why he’s considering suing over it, as Washington State has already taken the lead in ten lawsuit against the Trump administration. Gov. Inslee tells Melber the wall is Trump’s “wasteful vanity project”. Gov. Inslee also comments on Amazon’s decision not to build a Headquarters in New York, telling Melber it’s important to “find a way to prevent large corporations from essentially blackmailing local communities by threatening to move if they don’t get these giant tax breaks”.

Yes, those who have benefited the most from our country should pay more not 14% less.

The gun manufacturing lobby, big pharma, AIPAC, the private health insurance lobby, the evangelical Christians, etc have such a stranglehold on Washington DC. Take corporate money out of politics and enforce separation of church and state.

Yeah help the middle class. The billionaires can afford to pay more taxes and should pay more taxes. They are still going to be extraordinarily rich

Jay Inslee is really an unsung hero--Washington state is one of the most progressive in the nation. Now, if he could run with AOC, I'd be all over that. There is the small matter of her age, but that may be overcome by putting her into my time machine.

Corporate, personal and gov debts are at their highest levels (according to Federal Reserve and usdebtclock.org).
Every dollar printed means the ones in your wallet and bank are worth less (original $1 now worth ~3 cents).

An earlier Dallas News piece titled, “How Putin oligarchs FUNNELLED MILLIONS into GOP campaigns.” is one of the best pieces you’ll read on the subject. Here are a couple of excerpts. Along with McCONNELL, Republican Senators MARCO RUBIO & LINDSEY GRAHAM received hefty sums from Blavatnik as well. Russian funding goes way back to TOM DELAY.

California is suffering due to climate change?! Empathy not withstanding, in YOUR STATE, Governor Inslee, you know, the one where your constituents live, some were literally frozen in their homes for 10+ days--if they were lucky enough to have one--unable to go get alternative sources for heating when power was lost, in some instances for more than 24 hours; homes, infrastructure, and emergency services ill-equipped because the average temp is well above freezing with ANNUAL snowfall of about 2"; stores not stocking the proper supplies; all of the passes closed for days and not nearly enough staples, like perishables and water, in areas where it's all trucked in; most businesses here weren't open for a week, with more days focusing on damage control thereafter, resulting in massive loss of wages and revenue; and last, but far from least, an utter lack of adequate shelters and supplies to help the homeless, if people were mobile enough to do so.

In the decades you've been a public servant, I can't remember hearing a single instance in which you did something helpful or productive. Admittedly, I don't follow politics, but I do follow the news; now {coincidentally?}, you're suddenly everywhere.

I understand our concerns look a little silly to other states. But, the very rare tornadoes, sustained gale force winds, and severe temperature fluctuations are perfect examples of global warming. If you can't even advocate for your own citizens after just declaring a state of emergency, I sincerely hope you'll rethink your qualifications to hold any office, much less that of the Presidency.

Thousands of American citizens belong to groups like The Angel Moms, or Angel Families, The Remembrance Project and California Victims of Illegal Immigrants, These people are the surviving family members of those Americans who were tragically killed by illegal aliens. Their plight is a particularly vivid illustration of the effects of unfettered illegal immigration. Had the federal government enforced immigration law and removed the illegal aliens who committed these heinous crimes before they committed them, the crimes never would have happened and their loved ones would presumably still be alive today. CNN and MSNBC will NOT book them for interviews on their programs for obvious reasons.
