seats are a very personal item, and this guys goals with his car are very different then mine. . I like the comfort to be able to change my body position on long drives, and an ease of entry and exit. Gm addressed a temporary desire to avoid sliding around by a mechanism in the seat belts where they tighten up if manipulated to stay tight.

my car was set up by an independent corvette shop to be the shop X cross car in a stock class that allowed for an axel back exhaust modification. they chose a flowmaster, more of an old school high quality hot rodder's brand of choice. my neighbor calls the car a hot rod. because of the sound. I'm not digging the extra noise, but any increase in efficiency is a good trade.

I recently became the owner of a 2K Coupe, base trim. It needed exhaust, instead of spending huge money on aftermarket I picked up a stock Ti Z06 exhaust from ebay for less than $800. Could not believe how much lighter than the stock base model system it is, has a nice sound as well.

After you get the alignment done, at some time go max stiff and max soft. You'll appreciate the BC's. I did do the Amazon seats for a couple years but there too hard for long rides so I put my original seats back in, much more comfortable. But to each his own. For those that are changing out their seats. Keep them for awhile with the harness and memory. Its expensive to replace. I did go with the C6Z06 brakes. they're awesome. With my rims I had to use a 3\4 inch spacer for the front tires.18's on front and 19 rears. I do enjoy your videos, they are informative. Looking forward to the next.

So first thing you should do is a 180 thermostat and tune the fans. These cars run so hot from the factory, this alone is cheap, easy and will give you 30hp. Last thing you should do is change the mufflers, you won't gain any hp but you will gain weight, the factory titanium exhaust is wayyy lighter than aftermarket and flows the same. I liked the stock shifter 🤷‍♀️ seats are a must and I'd do a steering wheel while your at it. Rotors and pads, if you do any kind of "spirited" driving you'll warp the rotors immediately! I've heard horror stories about bc coilovers breaking so do some research.

ARH and factory Ti is fine. The hp you might make from an axle back you'd lose in weight. The only one that's close are the bullets, which I have with ARH LT's and it sounds great 👍. I wouldn't cheap out on coil overs either. Bushings would be better, like Delrin AF, LG G2's, Penskes. Cheap coil overs will make your ride worse! I've had 18 C5's. Seats, you can also save A LOT of weight! But not for 170ea, the Sparco R600 are a good trade keeping the weight even. My first mod was a 21lbs Braille battery 🔋Headers and tune. MGW yes too. The list can get pretty endless, if you have plastic endlinks, def swap those

Great vid! the one thing I haven't done that you mentioned is the sound insulation. Our Vettes have a lot of exterior noise to say the least and sometimes it's a little annoying. Who did you buy the insulation from? And was it made here or the ever present china?

Add a super charger from A and A Corvette $6, 000. I have had one on my 02 ZO6 for over 10 years without an issue. Base unit put down 525 Hp to my rear wheels. Acceleration is amazing.

Keep an eye on those lower front bushings on the bc coilovers. They go bad pretty quick.

As I commented in a thread here. not a big fan of the upgrades you mention here. Mostly, I never had a problem with handling in mine. It stuck to the road like paint. Never had a seat tear or disappoint me in any way. The shifter "upgrades" just put more stress on the transmission linkage. Felt like a waste of time after I did it. So.. power is the answer now. Get a blower, and the car will return to its dominance. Yes, the C5Z is awesome for its day, and I still love the look. But that was 2004. A lot has changed from the competition, and I just think another 150 horses, and in an 'instant on" fashion would fit the bill. I tried to execute on this opinion, but wasted a bunch of money on headers, which did almost nothing. Cough up the $6000, get the Supercharger.
