I used to have the boxed shape LG TV, I recently went to the storage room where we got the old stuff and I thought why not plug it in. Mind, it’s over 19 years old. Booted up like nothing. LG is a good brand, especially with TV’s. Went to the showroom and looked at their LED’s absolutely beautiful panels 👌🏼

The 2022 UQ model had way better contrast and screen uniformity but seemed a bit darker. The UP7000 looked brighter but you could definitely see how it struggled more in dark scenes/dark room. The color luminance was better on last year's model, but the better contrast on the UQ gave the image superior color depth. That was really apparent with the wooden chopping block at 19:14. Great review as usual.

I hope you're doing well.Very nice review!!! I am quite in two minds currently between two options - LG & Samsung.

I can get the LG UQ75 (43") or the Samsung AU7000 (43") for the exact same price! That's probably what makes the decision even harder at this point. I assume the au7000 is similar to the tu7000? But in South Africa my only option is the au7000 in the Samsung.

The main purpose of the tv is going to be for PS5 gaming & occasional Netflix (desk setup) in a moderately dark room.

What would you pick between the LG uq75 & Samsung au7000?

I love this I recently got one. The only issues is you need to put on the Ai sound to get it louder without having to go in the advance settings. It should be enable by default. There is some slight app slow down. For my region Netflix, Disney Plus and Prime TV work quickly which you should expect because there is short cut so it would optimize only The Hbo Plus was running slow. I didn't see any 1080 to 4k upscaling. The 1080p show wasn't looking sharp. Overall I'm impressed they need more steaming app for example Crunchyroll.

I got the 2022 43" UQ7500 yesterday. It's an ex display model. I must say that first impressions are that it is simple to use, sound is good but picture is not so good. I much prefer my father-in-laws Samsung Crsytal TV of the same price bracket. Picture is brighter, people on the screen look like they're actually in the room with you. The Samsung clarity is far superior. I just hope I don't regret buying the LG.

It's not bad, it's just that it doesn't seem that good.
