Great video. My wife’s 2013 read door would not open. She took it to dealer and for $77.00, they told her it needed a new door lift assembly. For $1, 600.00. She decided she could do it manually for that. I went looking for a how-to and found you. Sure enough, the switch was off!! Thank you so much.

Thank you so much! I just changed my cabin filter, must've hit the button accidentally. Tried to open it about a week later and got the two beeps. I thought " oh boy, here comes another big bill!". Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Our 2013 Highlander just spent two weeks at the dealership because a fuse went. It turned out to be a module and a short a wire somewhere. we got it back and the lift gate worked one but not again. I tried several things I read but you had the answer. My husband, not a kid at all, got the manual out because the rear camera seemed dark. When we put it back we must have somehow hit that button. We didn't even know there was an on/off for the lift gate. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for this video. Our lift gate suddenly stopped working just after my car had been hit by another driver running a red light (slow speed and fairly minor damage) we were dreading the repair cost. I checked the button inside the glove box and sure enough it had been turned off. Works fine now.

Thanks for video. Just had AC evaporator replaced and when I picked up car from mechanic, rear tailgate would just beep but would not work. Switch in glovebox was off. I didn't even know there was a switch there and was planning to take car back to workshop so thanks for your video explaining the fix.

2024 y ese video me acaba de ayudar mucho ya que el vidrio de la puerta tracera estaba abierto y cuando cerraba las puertas el tablero marcaba que las puertas delanteras estaban abiertas y no se apagaban las luces al cerrarlas, mil gracias por este video me di cuenta que por el vidrio estaba pasando ese problema una vez cerrado el vidrio trasero todo empezó a funcionar muy bien😊😊😊
