After much anticipation, “It Ends With Us” has finally hit theaters, but the rumored drama surrounding the film has been getting more attention than the movie itself. Although the film adaption of Colleen Hoover’s book touches on important topics and brought in $50 million at the box office opening weekend, people can’t stop talking about the potential rift between the film’s director and male lead, Justin Baldoni, and his co-star and producer Blake Lively. It all started in August when fans noticed that Blake and Justin didn’t do any press together. Speculation of a potential rift got worse after fans noticed Justin wasn’t included in any of the group photos of the New York City premiere. Fans further speculated the tension may have been caused by Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds’ creative input on the film. But despite Justin’s positive words towards Blake in interviews, rumors of cast drama hasn’t slowed down. As a result, Justin reportedly hired veteran public relations crisis manager Melissa Nathan.

I’m sorry but Justin Baldoni is one of most remarkable and beautiful human beings and I don’t see any animosity or beef coming from his end. I just don’t trust any negativity being spread about him.

She made this movie about a romcom. He was the only one talking about domestic violence. She took his movie and made it her own. She gives me such mean vibes.

Every time Blake is in a movie, there’s drama. Her and Anna Kendrick had issues on their movie and the press was so awkward. The director/actor seems like a down to earth guy.

Justin literally sounds like someone in an abusive relationship when he speaks about Blake. Lightlyyy treading, trying to be positive and say nice things to try not to poke the bear.. and the qualities he spoke about her screamed controlling.

Justin is a sweetheart. Blake is a Narcissist.

Her lack of self-awareness is astounding!!! This movie is about Domestic Violence not Barbie!

She should stop promoting her husband all the time it’s embarrassing, and that move of hiring an editor to make her own cut is shady AF she is not the director Justin is ! The way that Justin is speaking highly of her but all she does on itws is trying to undermine his work as a director is telling ( « I did everything else »)

I don't believe in these sources that are bashing Justin Baldoni. IMO this is the PR team of Blake and Ryan. They can see how much hate she is getting and it's obvious that this smear campaign against Justin is happening because Blake wants the hate to be directed at Justin and not her because the timing of these articles is very sketchy to me.

Justin seems like a class act - he's maintaining his composure beautifully. Blake & Ryan on the other hand have always had an air of unrefined arrogance about them, and those kinds of facades can only last for so long...

She’s giggling and laughing and not even talking about domestic violence. She is absolutely deplorable right now.

Why is she so weirdly defensive THE TIME?

I liked Blake before but in the recent interviews she looks too full of herself and bossy in the wrong way. We still don't know the full story but it looks like she highjacked the move from the real director.

Justin was amazing in this movie. Domestic violence is a very serious issue!! Glad he brought awareness to it.

He says nice things about her, she trashed him. Nice.

So sick of seeing her and RR all over the internet 😂

I think this is just about Justin wanting to create this as an opportunity to highlight about DV and the issues surrounding that whilst Blake wanting this about romcom 😂

The movie was supposed to bring awareness to Domestic Violence

It’s when the actors start believing their own hype is when you start to see the ego emerge!!
Sometimes it’s important to take a step back and look at the overall, rather than what Blake seems to be doing is making herself (and her husband) the centre of the story. When you begin trying too hard and try to shift the spotlight back to yourself is when the egocentric ugliness starts to creep in.

Justin is clearly gracious and healthy about the experience of shooting this movie while she is shady and avoidant. So weird. I guess we will never know!

4:17 Blake’s explanation for why she wanted to keep Lana’s song in the movie, does make sense. But I think the bigger issue is that Blake clearly sees this is a “one who got away” kinda film. And that may very well be the fault of Colleen, the book author. Eitherway, it’s clear Blake wanted to make this more of a romance and girl’s girl film. While Justin wanted to use it as a jump off point to talk about the seriousness of DV. Tbh, Justin should have picked a better source material, because it’s clear from the beginning Colleen was romanticizing the victimization of DV.
