in question 14 you can just plug the answer choices with x and check which one will set the two equations equal to each other I think that is much better than the long way since sat test is all about time management
10/-5 -2= -4 and the other equation -5+1=-4
and obviously since x=y then -4=-4 is right

For question 14 we can just put the options in the question and if the both sides match.IF they match then we have our answer.

The second one I factored, then used partial fraction fractions, cross multiplication, and then completed the square which gave the equation/expression (x-4)^2 - 4 = 12, and then added 4 to both sides which is (x-4)^2 = 16, and then took the square root of both sides, getting x-4 =4, and the added 4 again to both sides, leaving me with X = 8, and I thought it was all wrong but it turns out it wasn't.

How do I get to remember all of this ?
Also there are many questions that have the same information. How would I then be able to distinguish?

For #15, I still don’t get why (x+4) is cancelled out. Can someone please explain? He said something about 1/0 & undefined, how is (x+4) undefined?

These are most easy questions. I don't think so the exam will be easy like that.

For number 15 can I also multiply both sides by (x-2) to get rid of the denominator?

In number 14 I tried the the numbers given and it turned out the same answer so I don’t have to do all that right

Hey for #15, for the negative solutions, does it matter what integers the factors are?

why did we set every variable (x) to 0 at the end?
