If you think of the worst company misdeed and double it, you still won’t be close to the evils
of Nestle. The closest humanity has come to a rotten chocolatier is Willy Wonka, but his antics for
mistreating children pales in comparison to the tactics Nestle employs to maintain its status as
a global giant! Beneath their sweet exterior lies is a center of exploitation, greed and malpractice. And that’s
just the beginning! Wait until you get to the end of the video.
Yet, they are still standing. Is that because we see confectionary makers as eccentric artisans
or are all corporations just great at sugar-coating their sins?
Considering how the Nestle Corporation has navigated a century of scandals – the kind that
would run a politician out of office - it seems that the Swiss are experts when it comes to
chocolate, fortunes and corruption.
Maybe we’re being overly critical. Surely these transgressions are not unique to the
confectionary giant and common throughout the entire industry?
Guess again. Other mega-businesses have gone down for much less, which can only mean Nestle is as good at dodging consequences as Augustus Gloop is at dodging vegetables.
Or perhaps all the bad press around the daddy of the Kit-Kat is just a case of haters gonna hate? Maybe we’re just shills for big chocolate? You’ll have to be the judge.
