Workshop on Process-oriented Child Observation and Teacher Professional Development planning

On June 8-9, 2017, Early Childhood Education staff from the Kon Tum, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai Departments of Education and Training, and preschool teachers and school leaders from six districts gathered for a workshop about Process-Oriented Child Monitoring. Teachers and school leaders from the districts of Nam Giang (Quang Nam province) and Thai Nguyen (Thai Nguyen province) who have worked during one year with Process-Oriented Child Monitoring, shared their experiences with the Kon Tum, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai participants. On the second day, participants developed annual teacher development plans per district. From August 2017 onwards, VVOB Vietnam will support them in building their Process-Oriented Child Monitoring capacities. The VVOB Vietnam 2017-2021 Program aims at using Process-Oriented Child Monitoring to mitigate barriers to learning in preschools of disadvantaged and ethnically diverse districts of Central Vietnam.
