Join us as we explore the ever-changing landscape that is Real-time VFX! We are excited to welcome Kevin Milmoe and Nova Baghdasarian to the Gnomon stage to discuss their VFX journeys through both AAA and indie game studios. As Senior VFX Artists, our guests have years of experience navigating the industry and are eager to share the stories and artwork along the way.

During this event, Kevin and Nova talk about where VFX intersects with other disciplines, the importance of collaboration, game engines and software (including Unity, Unreal, Houdini, and Maya), and the differences working in AAA vs indie. They also share tips on creating an impressive reel, do's and don'ts during the interview process, and how to be an integral part of the team once you've landed a studio job.

By the end of this presentation, we hope our attendees will gain an understanding of what it’s like as a Real-time Games VFX Artist and how to succeed in a shifting, demanding, and exciting industry!

Great video! I have two questions:
-I was wondering, for someone who wants to jump in, should I learn unity or unreal?
how's the payment compared to disciplines like animation, 3d modeling, character art, environment...etc
