There is no single treatment that is effective for melasma.

👉🏻Topical hydroquinone is still considered the most effective. Followed by topical retinoids, and 15-20% azelaic acid. Improvements are even better when these are combined.

👉🏻Newer treatments including Cysteamine and topical and oral tranexamic acid show promising results.
👉🏻Other ingredients such as kojic acid, arbutin, licorice, vitamin C, AHA, niacinamide can also be helpful.

👉🏻Therapy is often best when combined with procedures such as chemical peels, microneedling, and certain laser/light treatments, although rebound is common

👉🏻Photoprotection remains most important-Sunscreen, sun protective hats/clothing and oral polypodium leucotomos supplements

👉🏻We always recommend seeing a dermatologist for personalized treatment.

If you want to get rid of malasma , apply a mixed of honey, allovera gel or vitamin e, and mustard oil, every night. And apply sunscreen everyday and apply tritinion or aziderm or kojic acid one in a week. Because acid can burn ur skin if you apply everyday that's according to my experience only .
