Mors Kochanski says you can get away with cheap coffee using this method. I agree with you, the better the quality of coffee, the better the end product. Thanks for sharing

I’ve got a brand new coffee maker at the house, I’m going to gift it to someone this year, I don’t need it now lol

I always put the beans in my pillow and blow it in the wind the next day! Some cute maidens will collect the grains

Thanks for doing this! I learned a lot. Cowboy coffee is for sure my favorite but I always have grounds in the coffee. Looking forward to trying this method!

Great vid bud if I bring in water with me after boiling camp coffee if you add a half cup cold water and let it sit for couple minutes it helps the grinds settle to the bottom of the pot. At least it works for me. Can't really do that part with creek water tho.

What a great video. Clear and easy instructions without pretense, plus highly useful for water conservation. Thanks so much for making this video. Can't wait to try it out!

A Classic Kettle!! A nice setup you have there. You've taught me something about cowboy coffee I did not know, the timing and method of grind separation are different from what I know. Your method is easier and more effective. Also want to thank you for leaving the links. Later Pal, ... Mike.

If you add cold water at the end, it will make the grounds go to the bottom! Most delicious coffee ever though... trick is a well seasoned vessel and a great fire.
