Pro tip for any first smoke. Spray all shiny parts in the smoke pit with Pam spray, (food grade oil) so when its cooked it "seasons" the metal coating it with a protective oil coating that will stop it from rusting.

That Pro Series looks awesome.
The digital temp setting is a MUST HAVE. (not a fan of the pre set temp selector)
I love the ash cup access from the underside, the roll out racks and 1300 sq/in is huge.
Might have to add to my Pit Boss fleet.
I have an Austin XL, 600FB, Series 5 upright and a Series 7 upright.
Just a suggestion but you should do a video making Philly Cheesesteaks using smoked brisket. They're absolutely amazing.

Wish they added vst smoke mode to other pellet grills they release other than the titan and 1600 elite really like that option.

I would love to know your thoughts on how this unit compares to the Pro 1150 V3. The main cooking grate is smaller on the 1300 but has a larger overall area with the two top grates - but how useful are those and would the larger main surface of the 1150 be better? I also like the lid on the 1300 better - do you agree? Cooking performance is also critical, of course, but I'm assuming they will likely perform similarly?

Does it have a pid mode or like a super smoke at any temp ? Or is it still just p settings and then temp settings

When you selected the prime button you only clicked on it one time. Will be all you need for priming or do we need to kold it until pellets makes their way to the fire pot.

I just got my 1300 pro series recently and I'm cleaning it out for the first time. The fire pot is accessible from the bottom, but I cannot for the life of me get the fire pot to slide out. I've tried hammering and prying it out and it will not budge. Any ideas?

I noticed you did not talk about the phone app, which is crap. That is the only downside. You pay for the Wi-Fi in that model and it doesn’t even work.
