Well I've been cutting sheet with tin snips for 30 years and I never realized they were left/right directional like that. Makes total sense.

I’ve been doing sheet metal since 1998 HVAC. I’ve fabricated in shops and installed residential and commercial ductwork and I can tell you right now those strait aviation snips are good for some stuff but what you need to make this a lot easier for hand tools I’m talking is look for offset snips any brand you like Malco or dewalt it doesn’t matter.

This was a very helpful video! Thank you for sharing. The downspout Home Depot sold was a slightly thicker gauge steel so I needed to drill a small pilot hole before using the box cutter. I am so glad I watched this first before I started cutting!
