I had an opportunity to sit down with Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker and we talked about Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome.

Dr. Shoemaker has devoted his career to unveiling the complexities of Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome—caused by exposure to damp buildings, cyanobacterial blooms, dinoflagellates, spirochetes, apicomplexans, and recluse spiders: among others.

Dr. Shoemaker began the first biotoxin illness practice in the US in 2002 and has treated over 10,000 patients with CIRS illnesses. His non-profit research group, the Center for Research on Biotoxin Associated Illnesses, has raised over $2,000,000 for private funding of academic research. As a medical expert, Dr. Shoemaker has testified in over 200 cases.

I left my moldy house (and most of our stuff) in 2010 and it changed my life. I got sick AGAIN (from pesticides, largely) but am in a mold-resistant house and starting to heal again.

By fate or destiny, I inherited Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker's 764 page book Surviving Mold---and it alone has changed everything for me. This interview is definitely one of THE MOST vitally important interviews on the internet today. Judy you asked the most intelligent questions I've ever heard from someone with your expertise! I'm sending awesome good, cosmic, and positive protection energy to those affected including myself and also to Dr. Ritchie and Nutritionist Judy!! They are both at the forefront of this evolutionary breakthrough and deserve all the support they can get from the global communities of CIRS affected persons and those who are still in the dark. Stay vigilante about your own health & wellness---it's all ya got!

Thank you so much for bringing attention to this! So many doctors told me I was crazy until I found the CIRS biomarkers and HLA tests!

Judy has some of the best & most informative interviews! I'm getting tired of the over simplified "carnivore success stories" - there is much more for all of us to learn... thx Judy

I understood about 1/3 of this interview, but what a great overview of what I need to learn, where to go to find more steps, tests and yes I want my brain again! Thank you both

I lost both my fiancé and cat to Fungal bronchiole pneumonia Aspergillosis. It’s colonized inside my body ( sinuses), a nodule is on my lung, and the Aspergillus micotoxins are in my blood.Candida overgrowth ( too numerous to count) 😢 I believe my fiancé s sepsis was from leaky gut. Too bad that I and MANY cannot afford your services and supplements.

I ended at carnivore to mange my CIRS symptoms before I knew I had CIRS. Agree it is a helpful tool to survive while treating the root cause

That was fantastic, Dr Shoemaker needs to do many more recent interviews to continue to spread awareness and share his deeply technical knowledge! It took me years of suffering and chat gpt4 to finally hear the term CIRS. There’s hope!

CDC says it’s rare. If doctors aren’t being taught in Medical school, hospitals don’t have proper testing, and toxicology screenings aren’t done on routine or teaching autopsies they can not say with any scientific certainty how many people are actually affected. 😔

Thank you for sharing this. I have been working so hard to get well and have done so many tests and have multiple autoimmune diseases. I have tried doing carnivore 4 times and although I saw some improvements I was not getting well. At least it gives me some direction to look in.

I love the work of Dr Shoemaker, but I feel like I would need to have a phd to understand what he is saying. Some lay mans terms for us ill not mega educated folk would be helpful here. I appreciate how Judy attempted to break things down for us in her questioning - if he could have just addressed each point and clarified his disagreements instead of pretty much disregarding most of the questions.

Hi Judy. Great interview but i just wish you guys would have provided some more practical ways to overcome this illnes by ourselves. Not everybody is living in US and not everybody has the access to a first class nutritional therapy options.

Here is were the military needs this protocol! The military and family members are exposed to lots of toxins that naturally occur around the world. Mold in homes is minor (Unless people come from a dry climate to a damp climate and don't know the precautions.) compared to buildings such as child centers, grocery, exercise centers, etc that both military and family members need to use on a weekly or daily basis. Add all the toxins that come along with big groups living together, machinery and war, you get lots of exposure, even in the water system. As he said 25% are getting issues, why aren't military Dr. the first to be caught up to speed on this???

It really wonderful that you are passionate in helping all of your clients get better and that you were aware that there had to be something in the environment making the not heal like they should. Since you haven’t experienced it personally it really is enlightening to see someone like you try to get to the cause! I have had CIRS most of my life I’m 41 and when I was 35 I was taken down hard by my workplace from a bad mold in The HVAC system and then caught Valley Fever in the lungs and I have to practice avoidance to be normal
