Juilliard Congratulates the Class of 2024!

Juilliard celebrated its 119th commencement May 24, 2024, at David Geffen Hall in a ceremony that was also livestreamed around the world.

Juilliard awarded degrees to more than 300 actors, dancers, and musicians as well as honorary doctorates to critically acclaimed Paul Taylor principal dancer, educator, and community activist Carolyn Adams (Juilliard faculty 1984-2011); Academy Award-winning actor and producer Jessica Chastain (Group 32); nine-time Grammy Award-winning Emerson String Quartet (cellist Paul Watkins; Eugene Drucker, Diploma ’72, violin; Philip Setzer, BM ’73, violin; MM ’74, violin; Lawrence Dutton, Pre-College ’72, viola; BM ’77, viola; MM ’78, viola); and Pulitzer Prizewinning composer Tania León.

Congratulations! As a pre-teen who wants to go to Juliard for music(flutist)I think it’s amazing seeing other students share their REAL Juliard experience or their graduation.

My dream is to get to Juilliard University. My parents don't think there's a prospect in this, and they say to think about doing something else. I want to cry from such thoughts. I'm full of determination and desire. my soul is burning with art and I have no idea that I will have to do anything else. I want to try, and in the future to know what I tried. and not to wake up after many years doing not what my soul lies to think about.. why I never tried what my eyes lit up from one thought. I can do everything and leave an application for admission as soon as I graduate from school and pass the necessary exams. I will learn English and try to do everything to get to you.❤️ When I think that I can really make my dream come true, my eyes light up with hope and love.
