Juilliard Congratulates the Class of 2017!

Juilliard celebrated its 112th Commencement on Friday, May 19, 2017, an event celebrated by a capacity audience of Juilliard graduates, family, and friends in Alice Tully Hall and viewed via live stream in more than 50 countries around the world. After Juilliard Board Chair Bruce Kovner greeted the graduates and their families, Juilliard President Joseph W. Polisi, Provost and Dean Ara Guzelimian, and Vice President for Library and Information Resources Jane Gottlieb presented honorary degrees to alumnus and commencement speaker Stephen McKinley Henderson (Drama Group 1), Carla Maxwell (also a Juilliard alumna), Thomas Adès, Frayda Lindemann, Dick Hyman, and Martina Arroyo.
