Passing the NYSTCE ATAS (Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills) Math section is a must for those wanting to be certified to be a teacher’s assistant in New York. As such, passing the NYSTCE ATAS Math subtest will require you to know a lot of basic level math like fractions, decimals and the order of operations. From the UK - are these various state examinations only applicable to the issuing state? For example, someone gains this New York qualification wants to work in Florida; are they considered equivalent, or must the local qualification be attained?
