I came to America at 6 years old. I immediately suffered an identity crisis up until I was 18. I replaced the words in the Jamaican national anthem to "Jamaica land we hate" instead of "jamaica land we love". I hated my skin color and hair. I wanted to have hair like the Spanish kids, and lighter skin. People would laugh at how I said "vegetables" and "georgia". I never had the newest clothes like my peers..my parents worked hard. I hated soccer and wanted to play American football. I despised every part of who I was.

Im 24 now. I love who I am and my culture. Bob marleys music taught me so much about myself. Grateful to be Jamaican, grateful to be a human being. One love to all🇯🇲❤️

Could not get my 1 year old daughter to sleep because she’s sick and was crying a lot. This concert just had her chill relax and sleep. Thank you Bob.
Btw her name is Marley 😊

I come back to this video for many reasons. To find peace amongst chaos, to keep myself grounded, for bravery and so much more. Bob is so much more Than just a musician. He was a leader and a timeless inspiration

My dad played Bob Marley 24/7 around me and played Bob Marley when I went to sleep. After seeing the movie I understand it all now why he played this music. Bob was a fucking legend bro ❤️❤️

Bob really is one of the few who’s live performance sounds exactly like the studio recorded. No auto tune or vocal edits needed

Bob Marley and the Wailers were special. I can’t explain why, but the rawness and the passion brought me to tears watching and listening to this performance. Truly nothing like anything I’ve ever seen and I doubt this kind of pure music will ever emerge again. No auto tune, no background music, no lip syncing, only talent. RIP to Bob. We miss you. In a such a dark world, your music has given me hope.

I got introduced to reggae music by listing to this live for the very first time in my life back when I was 18 yo. The performance shocked me so much that I transitioned to listining only to reggae for the rest of my life. He is chanting about human oppression even till this last breath... what a legend... out of this world.. happiness cannot be found in material things brethren. Irie, Bless. Much love from Greece.

His stage presence is unmatched. Many have tried to duplicate him but he can’t be replicated! Long live the Tuff Gong!

So many of these songs are applicable to todays political situations. That's what defines timeless music in my opinion.

L'un de mes plus grands regrets ...ne pas l'avoir vu en concert...mais j'étais bien petite qd il est mort...ce qui ne m'empêche pas de l'écouter et de le réécouter!

All in this concert is perfect—the orchestra, the extraordinary backing singers, the ambiance, and of course, Mr. Marley, radiant in the midst of it all, sending waves of positivity. And that voice, wow, it's incredible. We're in '79, so no autotune, no trickery; his voice effortlessly glides over the flow, delicate yet immensely powerful at the same time. An extraordinary artist at the peak of his raw talent. This concert is one to watch on repeat. Thank you, Mr. Marley, for everything🦁🦁🦁♥♥♥
