Why Abdullah Rasheed Stopped Trading Prop Firms - My Reaction @abdullahrasheed

In this video, I’m looking into Abdullah Rasheed's video about why he walked away from prop firm trading. He says stock trading is WAY better, and insists it's shockingly easy to make a consistent 100% profit with stocks. 😱💸

This video was interesting to watch and I thought I would share it with you as well, next year I will be trying out Stock Trading as well to see if it really is as good as he claims.

The proprietary trading firm is the entity that provides the trader with the necessary funds to trade on the financial markets in exchange for a share of the profits. In addition, the prop firm assumes any losses, as the trader never puts his personal capital in danger.
Depending on what the firm has to offer, you can get funding from $500 to millions of dollars. Then, you can use your experience and professional trading tools to trade well and earn commissions or profit splits.

One benefit of online prop trading is that it lets people get into trading without having to risk tens of thousands of dollars. Also, you can start trading with a small amount of money and still make a lot of profit.
The majority of the time, a prop trading firm will design tight trading rules to help traders manage the activity so as to maximize profit and minimize loss.
Choosing the best proprietary trading firm is never simple, regardless of whether you are a novice or an expert. Comparing them is the most efficient approach.

So, watch the video till the end and let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Do you guys think that Stock Trading is really as easy as he makes it look?
I'm curious because I heard a lot of horror stories with stock traders who lost all of their money.
Let me know your thoughts :)

Fun fact. I started my trading journey in stocks and pivoted to forex and futures where I found my success (in trading, not saying I'm a successful/rich trader). I do plan to one day start dabbling in stocks again, but I think it really just comes down to what works for you. Everyone has their reasons for why they trade the markets and I think people should choose which one they prefer and just leave it at that (just my opinion). There's no one size fits all. There are people who trade pocket options lol and they 're happy. To each their own.

Just sounds like a newer trader still trying to figure out what works best for him, there no right / better market to trade. Trade what works best for you . Give it a few months & he will be trading the very things he said he’s not interested in, most traders go through that phase of changing the instruments they trade .

If you are an experienced profitable trader you can usually tell where someone is in their trading journey by just listening to how they talk about trading . That guy is not a consistently profitable trader yet, he just puts on a front while the markets have a field day with him. The podcast, just like Riz is where they really belong in the industry. Theres no shame in it, they're just podcast dudes who arent consistent traders . Idk why he pretends .. its so sad listening to him talk reminds me of my first or second year in trading

I walked away from props too- after some time. One thing, I realized is that I take my personal more serious knowing it’s my actually hard earned money versus prop always made me feel like I’m playing a video game.

One take away from this video is bro has no idea how to trade. It's obvious he's making money from selling courses or YT ad revenue. Not knocking the hustle, but it's clear to people who know what their doing

I've heard that theory before about your account only being as big as your drawdown and it's utter BS to be honest, you can not put 10k on a broker and make the same amount of money per trade as you would with a 100k prop account, first off if you went and lost 1k on a trade you'd be crying where as with a 100k prop account you only lost $50 (10% of your buy in to a 100k account) which most likely doesn't hurt you mentally quite as hard. secondly, a 100k account with 100x leverage gives you a much bigger upside once your trade gets going and you start to scale into it, you don't have this option with a 10k account as 10k is the max margin and not 100k.

Moved from currencies to Gold and the indices... Once I get a payout, I'm dumping prop firms for personal accounts

Great video Markus

I just think you have to find what works for you! If you’re all over the place you will jump from place to place but if buckle down and focus on one thing you can be successful! I trade forex on the daily timeframe I look at over 70 pairs there’s always something with me I swing trade and be in moves 3 days to sometimes a month and it works for me

Good Video! prop firms can be dangerous especially if they are owned by an influencer or YouTuber lol.

Ive followed Abdullah since he started his page. What ive noticed is that he looks at new (to him) things as law, as the holy grail. Ive seen him change it up time and time again. With anyone with a following, the followers will always be encouraging and agreeable, and the influencer eats it up. Ive stated my opinions on several videos where he's doing something new, but as expected, he doesn't agree. Egos can destroy the journey to mastery. Sometimes we need to just admit that we haven't put in enough work, instead of blaming the market for our lack of success.

You keep saying he says its easy to trade stocks and he never said this at all during the entire video. He is simply making his point on why he believes it to be consistent due to catalyst springing the volume of the certain stock. Where you only get that with forex or indicies when certain red folder days like FOMC or CPI, etc...Where with most Prop firms they will fail your challenge if you trade news. They say its to protect traders but in reality its to protect them from traders running up the bag on them. So i agree with Abdullah that stocks are better for long term consistency. And any trader putting their Lively hood in the hands of these shady prop firms deserve what they get. The end goal should be to trade your own funds no matter what market you choose.

He just got into a losing streak and can't admit his A++ setups no longer work.

He just needs time and will be back.

The truth is most of these guys make the majority of their money from YouTube and courses. The guy doesn't even talk like a profitable trader. Those "choppy" days look fairly tradable to me & if the right risk management was used you'd come out ahead. The issue is, most of these guys can't actually trade consistently. I think we should start requiring 6-12 month audits and PnL's before listening to any of these guys.

If are a consistently profitable trader its hard for people to try to have you look somewhere else when you have something that is working fine there is more to the story

Bruv is oversimplifying the stocks market. In some ways, Forex is easier, all the "cons" of forex can be remedied with good ol Discipline
