The Cassiar Highway is one of the most remote highways in North America, and can be downright dangerous to drive in the dead of winter, you need to be prepared to survive when driving the Alaska Highway in any situation...

So happy to hear that you have a generator to charge the battery had it not been able to start.

0:10 mark: British Columbia resident here:
We don't really call it the "Alaska Highway" until you get to either Dawson Creek (Mile Zero of the original Alaska highway route) or Kitwanga (south-end of the Cassiar Highway route) going north.
The highways south of those starting-points (all the way down to the 49th parallel) are really just regular BC highways, that serve the people of BC, as well as those wonderful tourists and through-travelers.
There, I feel better now. I do realize that for any USofA person heading from the Lower-58 up to Alaska, ANY highway in Canada is "the Alaska highway." (all in good fun, eh)

I absolutely love my dual battery setup in my GM camper special. Saved my butt a few times with the dreaded dome light scenario. Safe roads and happy trails in 2023 ! 🌲🤙

Always a beautiful day to drive for hrs, and not another vehicle in sight. 2019 After CANADA DAY, I rode my dual sport bike to Tuk, was an awesome ride. Good luck GOD speed

Nice video man thanks. Maybe pickup a jump pack to keep in cab, got a dewalt I got for just over $100 and has air and two usb ports which come in handy, keep it charged with just a 200 watt inverter plugged into cigarette lighter. 👍

We've driven up and down the highways from Calif to Hope Alaska several times. Camped along the way, drove our Toyota Deluxe Tundra. Had a cabin in Hope we worked on for 7 seasons. From no electric, no water to complete cabin with everything we needed plus bath house and had washer and dryer, and toilet inside cabin with bathtub. This cabin had more than most people in Hope have. We loved it. We were living on Maui and spent most of our Spring and Summers there working for 7 years. A great tiny house....before they were popular.
I am enjoying your channel. L.

Timmy, one thing I really like about you is your positivity and philosophical attitude (okay, that's two things!). If I'd lost something worth £2k I'd be in pieces, completely distraught. No way I'd be making another YouTube video THAT month! Anyway, keep it up, fella. Your positivity really helps me put my trials and tribulations into perspective!

I hope it's a project channel where you build, repair, and create things. I love those kinds of channels.

Just found your channel. Interesting content. New subscriber. Big Ford guy, so love the truck. 2 quick things. 1; Lithium power bank charger. Either NOCO GB 150, or GBX 155. I have the 150 and it’ll start my 6.0 no problem. 2nd thing. Put a starter from 6.7 on. Cranks twice as fast and makes cold starting so much better. Takes a little bit of work(change the Bendex cone, and need a bolt and a sleeve) but we’ll worth it.
