Gravitons: The particles of Gravity Explained

The information in this video was strictly derived from the fabric of the cosmos book by Brain Greene.Additionally this video isn’t mean to push the agenda of gravitons onto anyone but merely let people know what gravitons are and why the scientific community is so skeptical of them

Since the recent detection & confirmation of Gravity Waves, the existence of Gravitons is a strong hypothesis, since all other forces at the quantum level behave as both waves and particles. Depending on the method of detection & observation of its properties, it will behave as either wave or particle. Experimentally, it's difficult to make it behave as both simultaneously. The LIGO was designed to detect gravity waves. To detect gravity particles requires a completely different method of detection & measurement.
Personally, I have my doubts about String Theory as a basis for experimental observation of gravitons.
String Theory is an elegant mathematical construct, but Strings are many orders of magnitude smaller than quarks, and they can't be detected or proven to actually exist by any testable hypothesis. Without a testable hypothesis, String "Theory" technically can't be called a Scientific Theory or even Hypothesis, even if it makes sense mathematically. But I'm just being scientifically persnickety about terms.
A method of proving gravity particles could be based by special instruments in conjunction with the LHC at CERN, or along the lines of Neutrino Detectors. That's just my intuitive speculation.

the information in this video came from the book series fabric of the cosmos and th elegant universe by Brian Greene along with the documanrtries on nova based on these 2 books

Attention viewers.... I understand the Audio in this vid is really really really crappy and I apologize for that however don't worry since I fixed this issue in my later vids

You did great in this video, however you might want to not state something is 'just a theory', its a hypothesis rather then a theory in the way you used the word (something that is untested or unproven). It was an easy mistake to make but it is a huge issue for laymen who try and use the argument that nothing in science is proven as they are only theories. Cheers.

This was a very nice, brief intro to the subject.

Your graphics were unique and simple. The explanations were concise and logically ordered. The length was good for an introduction/tease to lead your viewers to other related videos. Good job!

Very interesting stuff, these are videos about the most important concepts and questions out there

This is actually the first video i found that explains WHAT gravity consists of.
anyone saying that gravitons do not exist .. .well then explain what DOES the gravity consist of?

I actually think that time and gravity are same thing. We should all know that time travels at different rates due the gravity, on earth's orbit, time travels at different rate. for example if you take 2 digital clocks, send one onto earth's orbit for 1 year and then bring it back, then those clocks will have roughly about 4 second difference, cuz time travels differently.
So if you would have teleportation device, you could in theory, time travel. If those clocks have different times, then what happens if you jump from the clock 1 (that is 4 seconds ahead) to clock 2 that is on earth and 4 seconds behind? So in theory ... you would end up 4 seconds in past.

But i think that gravitons have no speed, they are everywhere at once and at same time they're nowhere, it's like dark matter and dark energy that haven't been scientifically proven, yet we know it exists.
as far as i know, universe expands faster than speed of light, so if that's true, then how can gravitons keep up? for that to be true, gravitons MUST move faster than speed of light, but my theory is that they don't actually move at all, at least not in a way we see things "move". It's hard to explain my theory, but i just wanted to put it out here, maybe someone understands what i'm trying to say.

You mean it is just a hypothesis right now, right?

Good video, but you should make your videos a bit longer with a lot more information and details. Love watching stuff like this.

...what does it mean (quote): "MATHEMATICALLY THEY CAN EXIST" ???
A > That maths proves us they THEORETICALLY EXIST, but we do not have the tools&means to detect/measure/see/interact with them ?
or:
B > That our math doesn't EXCLUDE THE POSSIBILITY they exist?

i hit it and it turns to 1k. i've never been so satisfied to hit like button in my life.

Sorry for being that guy but gravity is also a theory

Well, we detect gravitational waves, we detect light waves (photons) however, we can’t detect any waves from the other two forces, probably because the particles of the gravitational and electromagnetic force are independent and do their own thing, whereas in the weak force and strong force, W and Z bosons are exchanged in the weak force, while gluons are tied to quarks. Hence why there aren’t any waves from the strong and weak forces. Adding to the theory that gravitons exist.

I believe that a graviton will never be found as I think they don't exist, even though with any field there exists a boson but I personally think gravity is a cause from an effect so therefore cannot be a fundamental field as such :(

couldn't the gravitons be explained without string theory??

For anyone a bit confused by the terminology, he means brane, as in a mathematically described plane/area/extra dimensionsal area

but according to Einstein, Gravity is not a real force and what you feel is actually space time binding around the earth do to its large mass and spherical shape. so the existence of Gravitons would seem to contradicted Albert Einsteins theory on that matter. If someone knows the answer to this can you please help me, I just started researching this stuff and I've been having trouble finding the answer to a lot of my questions. If you could link me an article that would be great.
