Colapinto is either getting the Sauber seat and potentially Audi works team, or he’ll be waiting in the wings for whatever team wants him to drive in 2026. He’s been very good and it’s crazy how quick he was on the pace in these cars.

People saying Alex ‘exposed’ as overrated, like, what? Praise can be given to a new driver without having to put down their team mate. It’s such a strange narrative. Why not just the narrative that Colapinto is a very solid racer who’s in a car he already feels comfortable in? Because that honestly seems much more logical.

Alex Albon seems to be in a similar position as Yuki Tsunoda. They do enough to be the favourite among their respective team boss, the both beated their last two team mates (Albon had a much clearer gap to his teammates than Yuki had to Daniel but Daniel also was a better driver than Latifi and Logan). Neither however are being considered by top teams and have promising rookies to compete with.
