Baby Sparrow Rescue

We have all kinds of wild babies get born at Suburban Stone Age. One of the most abundant are our House Sparrows (Passer Domesticus). Our house sparrows do a very important job of keeping insects from eating our vegetables, so they have earned a place in my heart. When the house sparrow babies fledge in spring, there is a day or two when they are very vulnerable when they land on the ground. I’ll keep an eye out for them, and try to protect them from predators, mainly our dogs.
