You sir are Batman. You just fixed a problem I've been trying to fix for over a month. Tried to buy one of the diodes from you but I think you stopped making them so I bought elsewhere. There diode had to come with other parts but that's ok. Their instructions were not so good. I went to your place today after church (because I just got the diode in) and had a month long problem fixed in 10 minutes.

Just an FYI - these are commonly referred to as a fix for metric bikes but this should also work on any bike with the 2 wire indicator light. Basically what is happening is that the indicator bulb is relying on the light opposite the selected indicator to provide grounding for it so that when one side is indicating, the other side is the ground. LED lights don't work this way so this kit is the fix and you are correct. I recently bought some cheap LED 3 wire bullets for my 1990 Harley Davidson and have the same problem. I originally just had solid lighting with no flash. I bought the LED flasher relay and through troubleshooting I found that it was flashing but all the lights would do was to dim. If I hooked the white wire (running lights) to the ground, I could get a bright flash via the red wire but all 4 would flash again. I narrowed it down to the turn indicator and realized I needed zener diodes on my indicator feeds to block the backfeed. I could make my own but was curious if anyone else already discovered this and made a kit so I began looking and ended up here. I am sure this will work on my older Harley with incandescent bulbs and 2 wire indicator but I can't speak to newer bikes with the canbus system. Thanks for doing the video and you did a good job of showing the issue and install. I will be buying my kit from you.

Have a klr with a trail tech vapour dash and did led signals and flash fast but work. Got another klr, mint, low km, and stock. Just did the same led setup and all 4 signals come on.
This vid helped to track the bug. Getting a diode. Turns out the Vapour on the other bike is set up for led and the power stops at the dash. The stock klr does not.

Just received and installed it, worked great. The only thing is you do need a 3 wire Electronic flasher (with a ground). Thanks for shipping this out so quickly.

Thanks Taylor. Just installed the diodes. It worked except the dash lite did not flash. Installed a new led compatible flasher with a ground EP 35 and It worked. I have a 71 750 and the harness had a ground tang there. So if anyone is having that problem try the new flasher. Pin 31 grnd. 49 blk 49a gray. Got my diode splitter kit a couple of days ago and did an installation. On a 2014 Kawasaki 900 classic. All worked perfectly after installing the LED flasher module, your kit and the LED bulbs. FYI, the grey and green wires can be accessed where they go in the dash connector by just undoing a little electrical tape. The black and yellow striped wire right next to them can be tapped for ground. Unless you choose to remove the gas tank, the hardest part is working in the little space afforded where the harness wires go down just behind the speedo assembly.

Did this for my 85 shadow, worked fine. As he says, plug the DIODE single side up to one of the cluster signals wires and the other wire from the cluster to a ground. Then connet the 2 DIODE ends to the signal wires. The running lights can go directly on to the signals.

Revival Cycles released a video today on wiring in bar-end LED turn signals, but I don't think those Moto-gadget units need a separate diode. Helpful to watch both videos, I think.
