I've met Enzo.
He used to stay at my dads place on Palm Beach...taught me how to roll gnocchi off of the fork when I was a kid in the early 70's.

I do wish they had included more about Ferrari’s legal troubles following the Portago crash, as that seems like a significant part of the story.

I like historical accuracy. I hate when I find out later about something in a supposed true historical documentary that is not true.

When I went to see the movie in Cinema's my eyebrows were raised slightly when they mentioned the possibility of selling to Ford or Fiat even in the 1950's. It was a nice link to Ford v Ferrari but I wasn't aware until seeing this that it wasn't true and just for theatrics.
Seriously though you could watch Ferrari, then Ford v Ferrari and then Rush and it would be a nice little trilogy right there covering the 50's, 60's and 70's.

Historical accuracy in entertainment movies is not critical, but abject bullshit detracts from it.

Enzo Ferrari earned the nickname "Satrun" due to the number of racing drivers who died while in his employ.

Not even the horrific events of monza 1968 in which Wolfgang Von Tripps and 15 spectators were killed changed his attitude.

It wouldn't be until the death of his star driver and best friend Gilles Villeneuve in 1981 that he changed h8s attitude towards his drivers.

Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! I heard Mr. Lamborghini was originally a tractor manufacturer, but he got upset by what Mr. Ferrari said.. so he create another super car brand..(?)

The MilleMiglia had FEW open roads. It was mostly short quick roads, then twisty roads through small villages or towns.

The financial insecurity was probably invented to give some kind of dramatic tension, but it ends up downplaying Enzo's obsession and single mindedness by giving him a reasonable motive. It also unfairly paints Laura as a threat to the company's success and to Enzo's relationship with Piero. Just conflict for the sake of conflict.

Historical accuracy is nice. But a clean well flowing movie is better in my opinion

Imma car nerd and for movies like this, Ford v Ferrari, Rush etc I want both historical accuracy (mostly because I already know the story) and racing accuracy. I couldn't care less that's it's not more engaging to the unwashed masses.

Yes. Accuracy in a historical docu drama is necessary as much as it’s relevance

What the hell was with the crashes of this movie, every time a car would crash, it would fly high in the air as if it were moving at 350mph, was the one in charge of the crash vfx a south Indian?

Accuracy is important the clothes, types of slang don't like modern words being used in period settings, the cars the hairstyles, shoes and technology people grew up in the era will see mistakes.

Ferrari was a good movie. I saw the movie with my little brother, who is a fan of cars, on Christmas 2023. Funny that the Fiat calling Ferrari would later be shown in Ford V Ferrari (even though both movies are non-canon).

Enzo in Palm Ferrari in Beach ? He never left Italy. Hollywood loves action cartoons. Like cars flying thru the air.
