I test road a transalp today I found it to be a really good bike apart from the unbearable wind noise.

I think that the self canceling indicators don´t work really good. It feels like speed is the indicator for canceling command. So sometimes it happens that I turn and drive slowly after. In that case I always need to cancel myself.

I DON’T like that the turn indicator shuts off after 10 flashes, or 8 seconds, if you have not yet turned (regardless of the amount of slowing, breaking, and down shifting). That is generally not long enough for me. I like to give the speed demon behind me lots of notice. I find that I have to wait until quite close to the corner to turn on the signal, for them to cancel effectively.

This happens most often during turns from highway speeds, around town is better.

Front fork of Transalp has preload and this is evident - not any hidden feature.

Just bought a Transalp. While I like the self cancelling indicators I find they often stay on too long or even don't cancel. Be interested if you find this. My major gripe though is riding between 20 and 30 mph. I can't get a gear that suits these speeds and just feels jerky. I had a cb500x and that was perfect at town riding. Not had my 600 mile service yet so who knows after that. I have messed about with modes and find rain better. Thinking of combination of reduced power and reduced engine breaking may help. But not good so far.
