Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennnedy Jr. told Scripps News on Friday that he has no intention of dropping out of the presidential race.
His comments come after reports have suggested he could exit the race and endorse former President Donald Trump. "I never intended to get out of the campaign. That's just fake news," Kennedy said.
He added, "I have no plans to endorse any other candidate. I'm in it to win it. Our donations are way up, our social engagement up a thousand percent since President Biden dropped out. Our volunteers are up, our email engagement is up. We have tremendous momentum right now and we intend to win this campaign," Kennedy told Scripps News.
When asked whether there was anything that could cause him to endorse Trump, Kennedy said, "Not that I can think of."
When pressed about his conversations with Trump, Kennedy repeated that he would not detail private conversations.
