As for costs of living in Cyprus, there are some MANDATORY monthly extra costs BESIDES RENT that you have to calculate with. In this video my bills will show you how much that is and what it is.

You can save some money by living in Cyprus, and rent isn't that expensive in many cases. However, what about electricity, water, municipality costs?

Usually you pay rent monthly, obviously. It's electricity and water that you pay every 2 months here in Cyprus. Those costs vary anywhere between under 100 to more than 200€/$ a month if you break it down.

Water costs aren't that expensive in Cyprus but you still have to pay them. The last factor that surprised me a bit because I did not calculate with that, is garbage collection. When you live in Cyprus you have to pay a municipality tax for the waste collection, that's annually.

Assuming you live close too sea level you can manage without heating in the winter. Cyprus never gets so cold. Just in case there is a cold snap get yourself an electric blanket.

Hey Michael! Thank you for the helpful video. We're moving to Cyprus this month and are looking for a flat and trying to research. What's your experience with Cyrprion winters and electricity prices using an aircon to heat up the flat? Was this what you were sharing in this video as well or did this only cover spring and summer months? :) Also, we hear so much about how important it is to have a central heating system to avoid being cold all winter - what's your take on this?

Thank you so much for the video 🙏
