The Miracle Thermo Sudoku

Today we feature a puzzle by Mitchell Lee (the genius behind The Miracle Sudoku!):

Rules: Normal sudoku rules apply. In addition, place the eight thermometers into the grid. The thermometers must be placed into the grid in their original orientation (see the puzzle link). They may not be rotated or reflected.
The thermometers may not overlap each other. However, they may overlap the given digits in the grid. Along each thermometer digits must increase starting from the bulb.

Another one that got me; I was able to place some numbers and get a general idea for all the vertical thermometers, but no further without peeking at the video.

EDIT: I should have penciled in the possibilities for the last two verticals; after doing so, I paused the video and figured out what I should have seen. I was able to finish the puzzle after that.

I really used to love sudokus when I was little. My grandma always bought me those huuuge sudoku books with 300+ sudokus in it and I’d solve them within a week. I have really been enjoying your channel in the past couple weeks and I’ve binge watched so many videos of yours lately.
