Microsoft Syntex - Structured document processing - Extract information from invoices using AI Model

Microsoft Syntex offers two types of document processing models: structured and freeform.

Structured Document Processing: This model is designed to automatically identify specific field and table values in structured or semi-structured documents, such as forms and invoices. It works best when the document has a consistent format.

Freeform Document Processing: This model is used to extract information from unstructured and freeform documents, such as letters and contracts, where the information can appear anywhere in the document.

Both models utilize Microsoft Power Apps AI Builder to create and train models within Syntex.

💡How It Works:

Document Input: The company receives an invoice in a digital format (e.g., PDF, scanned image).

Structured Model Creation: The structured document processing model is applied to the document library.

Field Identification: The model scans the document and automatically identifies and extracts the values for each of the predefined fields (Business Name, Invoice Date, Total Amount, Sales Person, PO Number, Receiver Name, Receiver Address, Invoice Number).
