Don’t get me wrong, the new animation style is cleaner and nicer looking, but I think I liked the older style better because it gave the style of the inside of an old storybook

The old animation style had something special, it looked like someone had taken watercolors and wax crayons and combined them. The old style had something iconic, something artistically free and invigorating, all the scenes and colors seemed so alive and active. The new style is standard nonsense without love or imagination to save money and that really makes me sad.

Im gonna defend the animation. Season 1 actually followed the manwha on animation. The art style did change in season 2 so the anime is actually following the manwha so far. I understand season 1 was unique but as long as they follow the manhwa i wont complain.

I wonder how they're gonna adapt this. It feels weird they they're also tiling this as Return of the prince, since that arc only lasted a very short 35 chapters, which is basically a quarter of the length of the first season with their 100+ chapters.
