"Flying through hyperspace aint like dusting crops boy! Without the right coordinates, we could fly through a star or bounce off a supernova, and that would end your trip real quick huh?"

My theory is that this is why the prequels get a lot of flak for dialogue. The first trilogy was made by a community. Even an actor who hadn’t made it like Mark Hamill was willing to call Lucas on this stuff.
By the time of the prequels, Lucas was considered a pinnacle of creativity, his directions unchecked and his dialogue unvetted.

See, this is why George Lucas really needed people to tell him "no" during the production of the prequel trilogy. Creative freedom is a great thing, but when you have nobody but people that will say "yes" to every single one of your ideas, your worst ideas will end up getting through, too. It's the same problem Zack Snyder has, however, unlike George Lucas, he isn't aware that he needs people to tell him "no"

Considering the movie was designed for 10 and under as Lucas has said many times, the dialog was fine. The thing with actors is they get popular and win an Oscar then thnk they can write and direct a movie. Then they flop. Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Ben Afflect... Clint Eastwood is the only one I can think of that did both well. Those actors started to tell the director what lines should be changed just like Mark started to do. He also didn't get an acting contract after star wars.
