Buying an ARMORED Ram TRX At SALVAGE AUCTION!?

Today I found a WILD Ram TRX crashed by rap legend Lil Durk at Copart salvage auction, unbeknownst to me, it's also been heavily armored! This is EASILY one of the weirdest cars I've ever found at the salvage auction...

For the durango, i have noticed copart is now labeling theft recovered hellcats as vandalism since they sometimes recover them without damage or minimal damage like broken window and the take off panels to disconnect the gps sometimes rip cables

Those impact marks on the front passenger side window of that Ram TRX are more likely where firefighter/police tried to gain entry and didnt know the windows were bullet proof.

I bought a low mileage rolled Tacoma with the V6 and a 6-speed manual. Used a lift to straighten out the cab just enough to get glass back in it and sold it for damn near double the money. It looked awesome. Every single panel was damaged so there was not point in trying to make it pretty. Mint interior but wasted on the outside: literally the perfect truck.

That must have been a really poor quality armoring job if the accident caused the back window to pop loose. Wonder what happned.

That Track Hawk would be a decent buy. That TRX might need a full body swap. 🤔

Maaaan, that is one JANK-ass armor job, 100%. High cg and more weight on stock suspension, unarmored floor, engine not protected, no run-flats, stock roof and unarmored cab-rear... That's some dollar store/great value-style "hey, i know a guy that can do it cheaper" hackage.

Crash happened in Encino CA in Dec 2022. Looks like the TRX was going really fast and side swiped a tractor trailer head on, then went over on its side. The TRX actually came out better than the tractor trailer. You can find videos on YouTube of the crash scene.

that Durango in that condition and color is amazing. would buy it if the theft rate wasn't so bad, to the point I would have an empty driveway by the next day.

That TRX is a botched armor job no engine protection no upgraded suspension nothing that would really save you
