In this video we are setting up an indoor garden to grow vegetables out of season or to extend your growing season. I will be doing a led grow light review on Spider Farmers SF 2000 and grow tent. Growing vegetables indoors will help you increase growing space and allow you to become a little more self sufficient and less dependent on grocery stores for out of season produce.

I guess this doesn’t work if you don’t have any updates 9 months after...

It looks great the same as I use but a fan in my opinion is a must to keep the air fresh and to avoid mould etc.

I have 2x spider farmer 1000 inside a 2 chamber grow tent. One for germination at half power and 6in above the top of the seed tray. one for first transplant out of the little trays into 4inch pots at 18in. I've noticed that for the seedlings the light works well. I bring seedlings outside for a bit of full sun. I haven't had any leaf burn issues. The 4in pots with 2-6in plants stay out all day and come in at night. ( pest protection) all day sun and zero issues with wilt or color change.

I totally need that tropical seating area in my yard! Beautiful.

I just started using a tent and LEDs and I'm off to a good start. Im focused on micro greens. The holes are for vents and fans. You need to keep that air moving or you will have mold. I lost my first tray, an inline fan fixed it.

Would be interesting to add Watt meter on the input to that, even though LED's have excellent efficacy, that's a lot of light on for a lot of time. Seeing as you are in Cali, you'd have the sun to run in on a solar system easily, might be worth considering for a little extra.

Sadly the solar set up isn't really possible where I am, and all the growing I do is inside, always been tempted to building something like this, so keen to see how it turns out.

I have something like that that started, same type set up but a little more advanced. Late July in Arizona, growing bell peppers, onions, green beans growing up a scrog net and carrots growing in clear 2gal cheese ball container. Proper light, air circulation and humidity control. Love your videos....reach out.

The Grove tent is to control the heat humidity and the amount of darkness

The cost is prohibitive for me. But I am interested in seeing how well it works. Might be something to save up for in the future. Thank Brian.

I’m all fairness any 600w 1000w light will grow plants if the soil, light distribution and room conditions (temperature, humidity air movement). To me quality of the light assembly and quality LED’s, and most importantly heat produced. Now with heat produced that is important really only if you are growing indoors in a hot climate and it is beneficial to have the heat if you are growing in a cold temperature or over humid room. I would also like to see heat created/power used. If it uses more power to create more heat on all lights then what is the difference in power consumption to compare that with the cost of running a heater in your room. Maybe heat isn’t so bad in certain circumstances?

I have recently bought similar but different brand 3000 watts- actual power input 300 watt. I do not have a tent . I would like to have discussion as how to do it together .

Do you have to unzip the tent each time you need to water the plants, and then zip back up? Looks like this acts as a greenhouse as well.

Hey, that one is very expensive but I like it has two lights that are full-spectrum... Also, it was awesome of SF to include a tape measure and the plant labels. Cool, your tent is larger than mine but If it works... I would be interested in investing in SF for my upcoming citrus plants. Wondering how hot the light gets since the backside is not inside of a casing? Dude, do you have the grow tent outside? Mine is half that side and again I am growing an indoor hydroponic veggie garden.

The follow up has a link back to this video. If it's possible I think a lot of people would appreciate (and view) if there was a link added to the Related Video Links.
Loved the video. Did you do one for your winter season? Would also like to see reviews of other lights.

I started my indoor, apartment garden first week of April. I love my veggies front to back - morning to afternoon sun. All started from seeds. All my squash, zucchini, tomatoes, okra, jalapenos, lettuce, garlic, ginger, red onions, green spring onions, sweet potatoes, beets, sweet bell peppers, all all growing quickly and look beautiful. And I can eat the beet leaves and the beet bulb, which is cool. And Zucchini leaves are so beautiful & my landlord doesn't know I am growing an outside garden, indoors....lol
I will get a grow light, soon, as I want my veggies to be stable in one place for the duration. I will harvest seeds from my veggies, for next year.
I appreciate all you teaching, guidance, and advice, as I am a novice and want to become self sufficient! So....THANK YOU for all you do in helping us grow real, un-tampered food! With all the hormones, steroids, antibiotics, nuclear/radiation & metals in the earth that damages refuse to eat store bought. God bless you!

I think it's a waste of time to see vids of sales promotion . When the title says growing vegetable indoors and all i receive is a sales pitches . .

I grow tomatoes (16+ plants so far) under 2 grow lights all year. I purchased (2) SF2000 lights and (2) Maxisun pb2000 lights. I use the SF2000s to grow tomatoes/hot peppers/green peppers/basil/thyme. The SF2000 lights are excellent performing led lights and absolutely grows tomatoes all year, seed to fruit in an area approx. 2 ft x 4 ft. Recently, the price has dropped significantly so you can pick up an SF2000 for approx. 269. The Maxisun is cheaper. Over the last month, the yield is about 12 - 25 tomatoes per week for these16 tomato plants.

Greetings from Louisiana !!
I'm so glad you did this. I just purchased some grow lights from Amazon before I discovered your channel on YouTube. I have no idea what I'm doing and I am new to gardening so this is very helpful. I'm currently growing sweet corn squash zucchini green beans lettuce carrots garlic mint Oregon Parsley basil PotatoesTomatoes okra Watermelon Jalapenos bell peppers Bunching onions and cantaloupe on my 2nd floor apartment balcony ! And just in case anyone was wondering, Yes my neighbors think I'm crazy, and the squash bugs found me way up here ! I very recently found myself going through a divorce after 21 years of marriage, and I
found that gardening is cheaper than therapy, and for me, more effective. May God continue to bless your family and your garden.
