Did we time travel back to the Steam Locomotive era by any chance ? Catch the Twin ALCo's erupting like a Diesel Volcano belching tons and tons of thick black smoke. The ALCo's furiously start to notch up as they tackle a massive gradient pulling the 25 Coach load of the mighty Karnataka Express on its last leg of journey chugging towards Bangalore East.

Train : 12628 New Delhi - Bangalore City ~Karnataka Express.

Locomotive :
-KATNI / KTE WDG3A Twins 14646 and 13131.
-KJM WDP4 20030 Moving light towards Krishnarajapuram.

Location : Bangalore East Outer.

With the exception of the British Deltics, these were the some of the finest sounding diesels ever. They were hard pulling with glorious turbo-whine.

The alcos are very different in a good way, they look different than other trains and they smoke a whole lot more which makes them very unique!

American oil burning steam locomotives often had a notice in their cabs in big letters, "Black Smoke Means Wasted Fuel." I can imagine there were probably supervisors looking through bonoculars to see if the crews were achieving optimum combustion by watching how much smoke was being produced by their locomotive.
