I see that your point is to do something new to us and make us feel uncomfortable and get used to that. We will learn how to get used to uncomfortable feelings, uncomfortable situations, get over and grow. Thank you. I love your videos.

Wow. I am the one struggling with getting out of bed and confronting a day. The first hack has hit me deeply. So I will give it a try and first thing I will do tomorrow after a few days off, is to talk to someone in my workplace. Yes, I am shy. I do not think that my life matters at all. But there has to be a sense of me being on earth. So maybe this sense is somewhere beyond my comfort zone, only God knows.

Good talk & approach to life. I'm aware of this need to visit the edge of my comfort zone because I want to believe NO opportunity will ever pass me by because I was too passively dithering and too hesitant to grab it. I always chat in lifts but asking for something when there's a fair chance the answer will be no is potentially embarrassing, although I'd survive a flat no I'm sure. I will make a phone call to ask for advice or a favour v soon. That is hard. I prefer texting. The next time my teens are in London I want to travel alone. Not across India or anything properly adventurous, just do what a couple might do but do it on my own. That would make me feel very brave. I can do that. I went to a lecture on my own yesterday and had to talk to strangers. I remember joining a gym I was a bit ooooh am I doing this. I miss it now I'm working.

Great advice! I like the idea of doing small things which are good for you or others but a liiittle uncomfortable so we give up on them too easily!
Btw... I hate when the slogan "get out of your comfort zone" does not serve its actual purpose at work. Eg. I wouldn't force an energetic, creative person to do some detailed quality checks... Why can't he/she get better in things she's already good at and be a better professional in things which she likes?

These ideas helped me think of one more and of two I tried this week. I'll try changing where I stand at Zumba class: I always dance back row, middle. I'll try changing that up. I tried talking with a stranger in the checkout line. Long line. Knew we'd have time to chat. Shared a few details and laughed with this fellow in the checkout line. And I danced extra exuberantly today in Zumba, checking my heart rate to be sure I get up to the right target zone. Last week, I only made it up to that target zone for a few moments. This morning, I rocked that zone and hit 72 minutes between Zumba this morning and an afternoon walk. Awesome. I'm sore. Definitely outside the comfort zone!
