Actually, there are a lot of monsters, who have survived in genocide. Though, after "Erase", it doesn't matter. For an idea, Alphys evacuated a lot of monsters (the amount is unknown), in our fight against mettaton Ex, we can see ratings of more than 10000. Even though, we have killed only around a hundred. Don't forget, that in ruins, we have seen something akin to a city or castle, in Snowdin - a house that is too far away for us to reach, in hotland (and by monster kid), it was mentioned that there are schools (or, at least one school), though, we have never seen it.
