Reboot didn't work.

I turned the power off, unplugged the power cable - pressed the power button again.

Waited for a minute. Plugged the power cable back in - turned pc on & both the mouse, keyboard work properly again.

Win 7 is the best OS MS ever put out. They should have called it a day with that one. 10 has more bugs than the local landfill.

while you can do a good number of things with just the mouse and pretty much everything, with a keyboard,
but when Windows 10 killed both keyboard and mouse driver, its impossible to follow your instructions...

My keyboard and mouse stopped working after recent windows update. There are huge problem with USB ports. I tried all the methods to fix it, at no avail. The only way left is to factory reset my computer, but again, I'm not sure whether it would fix the problem
