Every school day, The New York Times Learning Network selects a new vocabulary word for our Word of the Day feature. We define the word, say how often the word has appeared in The Times in the past year and provide an excerpt from a past article that shows how the word is used in context. Then, we invite students to test their understanding of the word in a brief quiz.

At point 01:04 in the clip, a link to the next video appears. However, thumbnail for the link is so large that it blocks out the word of the day in the current video. It is impossible to read the word of the day.
