Living well is the best revenge. And, being an eternal optimist helps. One of favorite books during my twenties was "You Can't Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought". When my narcissistic husband was still alive I put post its all over the house that said "No Negativity". Didn't work, but I tried. At that time I had no knowledge of the term narcissist. Took me 9 years after his death to learn it had a name.
