00:00 💡 Common Causes of LED Flickering

LED flickering often stems from incompatible power supplies or dimmers.

Short-term voltage fluctuations result from mismatched dimmers or power supplies, causing irregular cycling of voltage and the on-off effect.

Outdated power supplies or those not originally designed for LED lights can lead to flickering; recommend using new elv or MLV power supplies.

01:46 🛠️ Choosing the Right Power Supply for LED Lights

Power supplies not built for modern LED lights, either old or not originally designed for LEDs, contribute to flickering issues.

Suggested solutions include using electronic low voltage (elv) or magnetic low voltage (MLV) power supplies for stable and constant power flow.

Pay attention to the dimming phase compatibility of LED lights when selecting a power supply (elv with reverse phase or MLV with forward phase).

02:40 🎛️ Dimmer Compatibility and Considerations

Incompatible dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs pose challenges when connected to modern LEDs.

Dimmers may need specialty components to be compatible with modern LED technology.

Verify if the dimmer supports forward or reverse phase dimming and check for minimum voltage load requirements for optimal performance.

But mine flickee in different rooms or either go out and they are not on a dimmer. They even stay on briefly sometimes after turning off. Why would you assume its only on a dimming situation????
