This 4-year-old Virgin Atlantic Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, delivered to Virgin Atlantic in March 2018 offers customers 3 main cabins. These are Upper (Business), Premium (Premium Economy) and Economy, which Virgin Atlantic further divides into 3 subcategories, which are Economy Delight, Economy Classic and Economy Light. These vary only slightly in as much as where you sit within the Economy cabin, luggage allowances, and the colour of the seat as can be seen here, as well as seat pitch. The Economy Light seating tends to be at the very back of the aircraft, with Classic in the middle of the Economy section of the aircraft and Economy Delight between Economy Classic and Premium cabins.

As can be seen, the Economy Delight seating arrangement is a 3 - 3 - 3 layout, with 2 aisles, as the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is a widebody, long haul aircraft. The Premium cabin has a 2-3-2 seating arrangement. Virgin Atlantic's entire fleet is wide body, long haul, as they only operate long haul flights, however, they do operate a variety of Airbus and Boeing aircraft in this category.

The Premium Economy cabin is located behind Upper (Business) Class cabin, which is situated at the front of the aircraft. This is the 15th oldest of 39 aircraft in the fleet currently, making it roughly middle of the road in terms of age in this fleet, at this time. The seat pitch in Economy Delight is 34 inches per seat and 38 inches in the Premium cabin.

Aircraft Registration is: G-VNYL
