The Morgan McSweeney-Sue Gray saga, endless stories about freebies and gloomy economic forecasts ahead of Rachel Reeve’s first budget - so, how badly have Keir Starmer’s first 100 days gone and could the next 100 actually be worse?

On this week’s episode of the Political Fourcast, Cathy Newman is joined by Thangam Debbonaire, who was set to be a leading cabinet minister in Starmer’s government before she lost her seat in a shock result at the election - Faiza Shaheen, who was a rising star in the Labour Party before a public spat led to her running as an independent in July - and Channel 4 News’ senior political correspondent Paul McNamara.

Produced by Silvia Maresca, Calum Fraser and Rob Thomson.

Thangam Debbonaire is clearly oblivious to how condescending and sneering she comes across. Rather ironic for for a woman who couldn’t hold onto her own parliamentary seat. Faiza is far too good for Starmer’s new nasty Labour Party.

Pretty awful that Cathy Newman sat back and let Thangam Debbonaire shout down Faiza Shaheen like that when talking about Gaza. It was a very uncomfortable watch.

No wonder Debbonaire was booted out by the good people of Bristol Central - smug and unchastened.

speaking of normality Thangham, it's not normal to defend a rich man having his clothes bought for him by an even richer man.

Thangam was arrogant and smarmy it was so hard to watch. Glad she was booted.

No suprise Thangam lost her seat, the biggest genuine surprise is her managing to get elected in the first place

And this is why Bristol booted out Thangham and will never take her back. What is she even doing here? She's irrelevant.

Thangham didn't want Faiza to get a word in edgeways when it came to Gaza smh, people like her still think if they talk over you the public won't see the truth😂. We all remember what Keir Starmer said about Israel having the right to starve Gaza.

Deboniare demonstrates the weakness of her arguments by constantly talking over Faiza. The Labour right do this constantly on such panels. i think they are all getting the same memo - "if its getting sticky, shout and interrupt". Vacuous cynical nonsense from her from start to finish.

Thangam so entitled and rude, Faiza humble and courteous. Disappointing.

Debbonaire is Labour's Badenoch - unjustifiably arrogant, shouty, and disrespectful.

Starmer said at the beginning that Israel had the right to stop water getting into Gaza.

Never heard of Thangham, but man she's smug for someone that lost their seat.. Being more conciliatory and reflective would have been a better approach
