DIY Wide Leg Pants Tutorial + Sewing Pattern

These pants are a dream to wear - easy to make too! AND they have pockets!

Here are the materials you'll need:
- 2.5 yds woven fabric
- 2" x 18" elastic (or half your waist measurement)
- 6" x 18" interfacing strip for waistband + pockets
- Matching thread, pins, scissors

Bought this pattern and tried it today. Had a bit of a problem with size of the waistband, medium was supposed to be for 27-28" but final output was around 32". I trimmed off 5" from the elastic, but the back waist is looking bulky.

Also the instructions did not include what seam allowance to use in sewing each part.

These look so pretty 🤩. Pants intimidate me a bit cause I'm still at beginner level. but this seems to come with really good instructions.
Do you think with a little more experience this could also be changed to have pleats in the front? I really like both looks

I just sew a size L but thr waist band don't match to the side seams 🤔, why is this? is it the fabric I used (rayon) and perhaps the waist got bigger?
