Wild Swans - Bible Dreams

"Bringing Home the Ashes" was one of the best records of the late 1980s, but sadly it didn't reach as much wide appeal as it should have. A quick listen of the song "Bible Dreams" reveals what an amazing sound the Wild Swans had, with lush, layered guitars and of course the brooding baritone of frontman Paul Simpson.

There are a lot of better post punk/new wave bands than New Order and Joy Division. They are both pretty over-rated, especially New Order.
