Definitely needed to be said. He’s a Corvette buyer after all.

“It drives terribly”. That is hilarious. So true. The “terrible” is part of the fun, but that is funny to just blurt it out.

The buyer didn't show up, and the video didn't show a '63 Vette, so EVERYONE effed up on this one

He wasn’t a buyer, he’s a speculator banking on a big flip.

63 Corvette Stingray with the split window, my favorite...the 57-59 or so in this video is also nice.

What he said about how it drives, is real.

There's a ton of fun cars that drive like crap but look good. I drove an 80s limited edition corvette (not sure what year) that my friends father owned... I had to take off my shoes to drive it and duck my head (I wear a size 14 and the pedal box was so tight I couldn't hit the clutch without hitting the brakes too and I'm 6 foot 2). Still looked real good! I thought that was the worst until a friend of mine let me try sitting in a Lamborghini countach and those pedals were way worse. No chance I could have driven it with shoes on whatsoever! I'm convinced people had smaller feet in the 80s.

That's not a sixty three corvette! 1963 was the body change, coup split window

Yep…..one of the worst of the old cars to actually drive…..kind of like chief dan George’s line in OUTLAW JOSEY WALES “it’s hard rock candy but it’s not for eating…it’s for looking through”

Just because people have lots of money doesn't mean they are in touch with reality.

As a Corvette owner for many years I can tell you than in my opinion Vettes got more comfortable around 97 with the C5, anything prior was pretty rough.

My buddys dad has a fully restored '63 and its honestly a pleasure to drive, aside from not being able to go into first gear unless you're completely stopped😂😂😂

I'm the same way! Not about the test drive, but about the driving in snow, I'll drive any car no matter how nice in the snow and salt, I like to drive my cars not just have pretty trophies to look at, if it was me I would showed up and bought it and drove it away

Definitely should not be driving on salty snowy roads I can say though maybe stock they drove horrible but my friends dad in high school had a 64 that was a blast to drive straight line not the best for switch backs but Damm that quarter mile was quick his was heavily modified for racing but still was driven

Imperial Maroon 1969 E-Type coupe wire wheels 4.2.Winter in Michigan.
My customer didn't even ask to drive it.

yeah, I really wanted to test drive it to see how it handles the snow

While the salt is a valid reason not to drive it, if he is more of an enthusiast than a collector he will not care about putting miles on it and will actually enjoy it. I was on a test drive for a Lamborghini Superleggera and very specifically told them I wanted to take it about 20 miles north to some more fun roads to see if it inspired passion in me to buy it, already owning another Lamborghini Diablo. Driving in traffic at 35 miles an hour to get there just to be told we have driven it enough and time to head back had me absolutely walking out of the showroom the cars performance will make or break the sale and what he gave me for a test drive I could get in a Honda Accord 🤷‍♂️ I even asked about trailering it those 20 miles if they were concerned about miles. I have long been convinced that most exotic car owners buy cars for status and attention versus actual driving passion

This was some guy they just wanted to drive a 63 Corvette. He wasn’t planning on buying it. It was just somebody that wanted to drive it. End of story.
