I don’t think compassionless statistics are the biggest disagreement on the fundamentals of the gun argument; rather it is ‘where we examine the ethics.
For some it is gun ownership, the very existence of guns is morally questionable and there is no defensible reason to own one.
Only, guns don’t have ethics, others believe the ethical question is to be rooted in the people and how they would use a gun.
I tend to agree with the latter, because ethics don’t change based on accessibility. If a gun is to be used unethically, the person is unethical, the gun is incidental and if you removed the gun you still have a human who would wish to cause harm however they can.
I hope for a better world than one in which the only reason the people around me don’t kill me is a lack of opportunity.

I always use terms based on their colloquially understood meanings, which in my experience is only a problem for people who are trying to be subversive.

If you're using words that are part of the common vernacular of the masses, but you're using them in a way thats contrary to the common definition of those words, you're the problem.

There is no difference between the two. Ethics necessarily is social. The meta is the whole point

Chris I think the meta ethics are one step further than the words because I don’t think ethics hang in the balance on a socially constructed definition I think the meta ethic is bridging the gap between those accustomed to validating other people’s feelings to appease them and those who won’t be people pleasers.

The Bible is the true form of meta ethics. It always has been if you throw that out people can choose what ethics they stand on. Then there is not a universal truth, but people choosing their own truth. That's why it's all falling apart.
