I love how this song is structured like a good trip. Initially, Angel’s really getting into the swing of things and seems to almost accept his own suffering. But then he comes down and realises just how deep the hole he’s buried himself in is. It’s heartbreaking stuff. Val has got his claws in deep, but I think escape is still possible

Blake Roman actually did really good on this song. He's growing on me as the new Angel Dust VA. The rawness of Blake's voice at the end is just amazing, I get goosebumps every time.

what i love about this song is the different lyrics between the two choruses. at first it seems angel is enjoying it and riding on that toxic high, "addicted to this feeling i cant help but swallow". but then he starts acknowledging how it's affecting him, "im choking on the taste and i cant help but swallow". the descent on angel's thoughts and emotions on his situation is well portrayed in this song and blake did such a good job in voicing him!
